Introducing FullFi

One ledger for your bank accounts, cards, cash, currencies, crypto wallets, and DeFi positions, where every number traces back to where it came from.

If your money lives in more than one place, you probably know the routine. A banking app for the chequing account. Another for the credit card. A spreadsheet for cash and the account in another currency. A portfolio tracker for crypto, and a DeFi dashboard that doesn't talk to any of them. At the end of the month you reconcile them by hand, and the totals still don't quite agree.

FullFi replaces that with one ledger.

One ledger, not five apps

FullFi keeps your bank accounts, credit cards, cash, currencies, investments, crypto wallets, and DeFi positions in a single, consistent record. Budgets, reports, and net worth aren't separate databases that drift apart. They're views of that one ledger, so they always agree with each other.

Under the hood it's a double-entry ledger, the same principle accountants have trusted for centuries. Every movement of money is recorded from both sides, and the two sides always balance. You never have to think about debits and credits. On screen, a transaction still reads like "Coffee, −4.75 CAD, Visa, pending." The rigor stays underneath, where it keeps your numbers honest.

The mistakes most finance apps make

That rigor is what lets FullFi get right the things most tools get wrong:

  • A credit card payment isn't spending. Paying your Visa from your chequing account moves money between two of your own accounts. Counting it as an expense counts your groceries twice.
  • A transfer isn't income. Moving savings into your chequing account doesn't make you richer.
  • A swap isn't spending. Trading ETH for USDC is selling one asset and buying another. The gas you paid is a separate cost.
  • Earned isn't collected. Fees a liquidity position has earned but you haven't collected are income you're owed, not money in your wallet. When you collect them, nothing should be counted twice.

Final, or not yet

Real money is rarely final the moment you see it. A card authorization for $80 settles three days later at $92.16. A bill is expected next week. A paycheque is pending.

FullFi marks every amount with where it stands: settled, pending, expected, or accrued. Amounts that aren't final are drawn differently, so you never mistake them for money that has actually moved. You can switch between a Realized view of settled money only and a Total view that includes what's on its way.

Every number is explainable

This is the rule FullFi is built around. Any total you see should open down to the transactions behind it, and each transaction to the source it came from: the CSV row, the statement, and eventually the receipt or the blockchain transaction. When FullFi files something automatically, you can see why and undo it. When you correct something, the original is kept in its history.

Private by design

Your financial history is among the most sensitive data you have, so FullFi is designed to know as little about you as it can:

  • Signing in needs no email address. Use Google, GitHub, or an Ethereum wallet. Google and GitHub share only an account identifier.
  • Names, descriptions, merchants, notes, and imported files are encrypted with a key unique to your workspace.
  • FullFi is read-only. It never moves money, and it never asks for private keys or bank passwords.

The privacy policy has the details.

What works today

FullFi is early, and the foundation comes first. Today you can:

  • create bank, card, cash, and loan accounts in 24 currencies, with opening balances,
  • record expenses, income, and transfers, including card payments and fees, without double counting,
  • import CSV exports from your bank, with a preview, duplicate detection, safe re-imports, and undo,
  • trace every transaction back to its file and line,
  • let FullFi detect transfers between your accounts and link them so they never count as spending,
  • teach FullFi where a merchant goes once, and have new imports filed for you,
  • set budgets that are calculated straight from your ledger.

What's next

Next come receipts, bills, and statements read for you and linked to the original file. Then recurring bills and a safe-to-spend figure. Then EVM wallet tracking with transfers, swaps, and gas, and Uniswap positions that separate fees earned from fees collected. And reports where every total opens down to its source.
