Keyboard shortcuts and jumping anywhere

Press N to record something in one line, Cmd+K or Ctrl+K to jump to any page, account, or action, and Escape to close.

FullFi works from the keyboard. These shortcuts work on every page of the app, except while you're typing in a field or a picker, so they never get in your way.

  • N opens quick entry, to record an expense, income, or a transfer.
  • Cmd+K on a Mac, or Ctrl+K elsewhere, opens "Jump to", to go to any page, name, or action.
  • Escape closes quick entry or "Jump to", or hides an exact amount's tooltip.

Quick entry

Press N, or use the button at the top of the page, and write what happened the way you'd say it: "Coffee 4.75 Visa", or "Paid 45 cash for groceries yesterday". FullFi shows exactly what it will record before anything is saved. When something could be read two ways, such as which number is the amount or which account you meant, it asks instead of guessing. Nothing is saved until you press Record.

On the dashboard, the same line is always open under your net worth. Members who can only view a workspace don't see it.

Jump to

Press Cmd+K on a Mac or Ctrl+K elsewhere, or select the search icon at the top of the page. Start typing, and the list narrows as you go: case and accents don't matter, and a word's first letters are enough.

  • Pages: every page of the app, by its name or a word people use for it, such as "dashboard" or "fx".
  • Names: your accounts, wallets, budgets, goals, tags, projects, departments, and categories. They appear once you type, and open the page about each one.
  • Actions: record an expense, income, or a transfer, import a file, track a wallet, reconcile an account, switch between Realized and Total, switch to the light or dark theme, or open help. You only see the actions your role allows.
  • Workspaces: switch to another workspace you belong to.
  • Search transactions: anything you type can also search your transactions, by merchant, note, or tag.

With nothing typed, the list starts with what you opened recently. Use the up and down arrows to move, Enter to open, and Escape to close.

Recent items are remembered only in this browser tab, and only as ids, never as names.
